Books produced during the reign of Queen Victoria or before
would be bound differently. They would not have had a dust jacket but
would be bound in leather or clothe in styles known as full binding,
half binding or quarter binding. The title and the author would be on
the spine and there would normally be some form of gold blocked design.
In order to offer books which will look more authentic in dollhouses
of these periods, (Victorian, Georgian, Tudor etc), we have designed
reproduction bindings (based from actual bindings of the period) and
offer them as an alternative to our modern bindings. Each book is offered
in the two normal sizes and has all the internal features of our other
